Why you shouldn’t buy certificates from educators

Confusing a course completion certificate with actual achievement is a dangerous trap.

There are countless educational platforms and reputed institutes offering courses (read selling certificates).

Do you think that a certificate alone will give you an edge?

– Definitely not.

– Definitely yes

– I don’t care, I just want the certificate from my dream institute

– No, but I want to post it on social media to get millions of likes

Whatever your answer is, in reality, the real edge in your work will come from clarity.

– How deeply do you understand the topic?

– Can you solve problems using it?

– Can you explain it to someone else?

– Can you build something with it?

A certificate can only prove that you completed a course.

But it cannot prove competence.

And in current times, employers, clients, and even colleagues, after liking your social media post, would eventually evaluate only one thing:

Can this person actually do the work?

And that’s the reason: don’t buy certificates from your educators.
